Uluru and Kata Tjuta

Uluru and Kata Tjuta were fantastic. As we got closer the kids were very excited to see the rock and Uncle Chris and Auntie Bron. Neither attraction disappointed. On the first evening we had thunderstorms over Uluru - which glowed against the grey clouds when the sun shone through. Magic.
Chris, Julia, Laura, Max and Bronwyn.

As above with Tony and Chris substituted.

A 30+ year reunion. We visited Ayres Rock when we first came to Australia with our father in 81 or 82. A lot has changed in Australia since then.

Kata Tjuta (The Olgas).

Trees in Walpa gorge.

Valley of the winds in Kata Tjuta. A fantastic walk through an eerie landscape,

Cute (and fearless lizards). Their camouflage is good, but not that good!

A more conventional view of Uluru.

Beautiful sunrise on the rock on the 9km trek around its base.
